Human Rights

Originating in 1984, TED began as a means to bring people together to discuss technology, entertainment, and design. Growing now to cover various yearly conferences and forums for discussion, TED’s mission is to spread ideas and encourage the power of change.

CBERN participant Donna Kennedy Glans of Integrity Bridges Inc. and Bridges Social Development spoke at TEDxCalgary in 2010. TEDx talks are independently organized TED events created in the spirit of TED’s mission.

Glans’ talk on human rights and international development provides an interesting look at ethics in organizations and NGOs.
