CBERN 2011 Annual Conference: Ed Waitzer livechat

CBERN is currently holding its annual conference at the Lord Nelson hotel in Halifax from May 24-26, in partnership with the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Public Affairs (CCEPA).  The focus of this year’s conference is corporate governance and leadership.

This afternoon a special luncheon presentation will be given by Ed Waitzer, a Senior Partner at Stikeman Elliott LLP, Jarislowsky Dimma Mooney Chair in Corporate Governance and director of the Hennick Centre for Business and Law at York University.

Waitzer will be giving a keynote address on “Ethics in Business: Corporate Governance — Challenging Basic Assumptions.” The presentation will review recent developments in corporate governance and explore how boards can function regularly under heightened regulatory requirements.
